Are you intrigued to find out What’s Happening on Habboon? Well, you’re in the right place - this bi-weekly article will cover all things Habboon and more! Stay tuned to find out more about the hotel, albeit rare rotations or staffing updates!

This is a section where we place a highlight on a segment of the hotel. These can either be individual users who deserve to be recognised for their kindness across the hotel, for being a good friend or an excellent event player.

This week, we’re placing a spotlight on milk nominated by bow!

milk has been part of the community since 2018. She’s a staff member of Boon Builder’s in BA, and she’s been contributing a lot with the graphics for Boon Adventures, Connect & Habboon Staff events.

Here are bow’s reasonings as to why she chose her:

“Marthe deserves the spotlight this week for her all the graphics she does for boon ! She doesn't just do graphics for BA/Connect but she's also one of the main gfx artist that boon staff go to <3”

We’ve asked some questions for her:

“Where did your passion for creating amazing graphics come from? (ps thank you for the amazing graphics on this fabulous article)”

milk: My passion for creating started out as a random discovery of custom room ads actually. Back when I used to play Habbo/retros that wasn’t really a thing, so when I started actively playing boon a while back I discovered these really fancy and amazing event rooms! Figured it couldn’t really be that hard, so I found out what app people used for pixel art and just started trying and failing (which I still do way too often!) And then I got involved in creating room ads/requests for others and I just really enjoy seeing people happy with it and using the stuff that little old me created!

“Who is/are your inspirations for the talents you have?”

milk: My inspiration is definitely from amazing artists like cookie and edsy! They are so good at what they do, so I really hope to be half as good as they are one day!

This week’s featured song is ‘Drunk Walk Home’ by Mitski, submitted by user mic. Read our thoughts on the track down below!

kie: For someone so young, Mitski is an extremely talented singer & artist. This tune has a throbbing beat all the way through it which drives the song to match the vibe which was intended, a drunk walk home. i also love the fact she calls out capitalism through some of her lyrics

pat: I’ve only listened to one song of hers named “My Love Mine All Mine”, so this song caught me by surprise. This song is so different. I haven’t seen this side of her with the rock element. The scream at the latter part of the song is the most shocking to me LOL. The whole song is just sharing her emotions and it must’ve felt very personal to her. Overall, not the song that I want to listen to BUT it definitely shows her variety as an artist.

skygue has asked: “What were some occasions that made your day?”

kie: i think one that stands out for me was when i went to see six the musical & one of the cast members, K Howard, came and spoke to me afterwards and had so much time for me. was really nice to see and speak to someone so talented

pat: This one occasion that made my day was when I watched UAAP collegiate volleyball in person. The atmosphere is great, the crowds are so loud and supportive, it’s very competitive, and I get to watch athletic players go at it at long rallies. It’s way better than watching it on TV.
