This is a section where we place a highlight on a segment of the hotel. These can either be individual users who deserve to be recognised for their kindness across the hotel, for being a good friend or an excellent event player.

This week, we’re placing a spotlight on childish nominated by commotion!

She’s been part of the community since 2018. She’s also part of Connect, actively participating as events point recorder & host. You can also see her around the hotel with their friends, playing and hosting events.

Here are commotion’s reasonings as to why she chose her:

“Who are the users that made your stay in Habboon so much better, and why?”

childish: There’s a few users that I appreciate - shout out to the core, my wife nat, our Roy cropper (commotion), the male version of myself; just a few to say the least. It’s never a dull moment logging on and you see a name pop up, you know you’re gonna be staying up til 1am talking about Britcore subjects x

“What’s one thing you miss about being a Habboon moderator?”

childish: One thing I miss about being a mod has gotta be the staff disc chat. It starts off with everyone being friendly as tmod and then once you’re settled, pure banter

In this segment, we invite you to submit your favourite song and allow us to provide the emotions evoked by the lyrics and melody.

This week’s featured song is ‘I Wanna Be Yours’ by Arctic Monkeys, submitted by user hatred. Read our thoughts on the track down below!

kie: This song is such a vibe! I’m a massive arctic monkeys fan, and generally just love the indie vibe across all of their music! I feel like this song only really comes out at parties and i’m not sure why… but I guess it’s always got good memories attached to it!

pat: It’s such a chill song to listen to while you’re on a trip or when you’re driving. It’s also very sultry and sexy. Is this the type of song that I will listen to everyday? I don’t think so. It’s not really my cup of tea even after repeated listens. But still it is a good song. For those who want to listen to this song, go for it.

skygue has asked: “How does the team manage their responsibilities as a habboon staff while maintaining work-life balance?”

kie: I think that’s a tough one to answer on behalf of every staff member. Personally, I have set times of the day where I allow myself to log on when I have something to do in my life. I’m quite strict with myself and will only allow myself back on boon if i’ve covered everything on my to do list.

pat: It depends on each staff member’s lifestyle. We all have different personal matters outside Habboon and they’re very understanding about it. Some of them are studying and some of them have jobs. For me, I have work. What’s great about my work is it’s from home so I can still use Habboon everyday unless I'm super busy. If there’s nothing much to do at work, I do my usual moderator duties. After work, I have other hobbies to do and once I’m done, I open Habboon.
